Boston Celtics center Kristaps Porzingis left Monday’s 102-88 victory over the Miami Heat in the second quarter due to calf tightness and did not return.

With approximately two-and-a-half minutes until halftime, Porzingis caught a pass from Jaylen Brown on the perimeter but suddenly pulled up in pain after taking a few steps. He immediately gestured to the bench to be subbed off.

The Celtics big is not believed to have suffered an Achilles injury based on early indications, sources told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Porzingis will reportedly undergo further imaging Tuesday.

Porzingis missed a total of 25 games during the regular season due to various injuries. A calf strain sidelined him for four contests in late November, though that injury was to his left calf.

The 28-year-old scored seven points and grabbed three rebounds in 14 minutes before exiting, helping the Celtics take a 17-point lead at halftime. He registered 20.1 points and 7.2 rebounds per game in his first year with the Celtics.
