JOB SUMMARY: Under general supervision, this position is responsible for managing, troubleshooting, analyzing, and evaluating the viability and integrity of patient data housed in all Health Information Management Systems (HIMS) in support of patient care and utilized in the storage, retrieval, data abstraction, reporting and accessibility of the patient medical records.

Essential Functions: Administrative: Responsible for distributing information to a variety of individuals both verbally and in writing on a timely basis. This includes internal and external entities. Analysis: Performs duties to help ensure a reliable and stable information systems environment. Customer Service: Collaborates to provide customers with ever-improving support for use of technology. MPI Management: Proactively monitors system and assists with maintaining record integrity. Technical: Maintains and develops informations systems. Training: Responsible for mentor and training staff members to support collaborative teams(new and existing staff).

REQUIREMENTS: Basic professional knowledge; equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree; working knowledge of theory and practice within a specialized field. Education Discipline: BS in HIM, Computer Science, Engineering or relevant education and training. Experience: 1-3 years.
