Fresh from UC Berkeley, founder Skyler Chan has launched GRU Space, an ambitious startup aiming to build the first hotel on the Moon. Inspired by San Francisco’s Palace of Fine Arts, the company plans to offer increasingly sophisticated lunar habitats. Despite having only one other employee, GRU Space is already inviting prospective customers to reserve a berth with deposits ranging from $250,000 to $1 million.
