FIFA is introducing a seeding system, similar to that used in the Club World Cup and tennis tournaments, for next year’s World Cup. This system ensures the top four teams, Spain, Argentina, France, and England, are placed in separate groups as top seeds. Consequently, these teams can only face each other in the semi-finals. For instance, if England wins their group, they will avoid playing Spain or Argentina until the semi-finals and France until the final, potentially easing their path through the tournament.
