President Donald Trump has unveiled a seven-member “board of peace” to oversee Gaza’s reconstruction and governance, appointing key US and international figures to the body. Trump himself will chair the new executive board.
Initial appointees include US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, World Bank President Ajay Banga, special envoy Steve Witkoff, and Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner. The White House stated this “founding executive board” will steer the war-ravaged territory’s next phase, with further members to be announced in the coming weeks.
