Two members of Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) at the Social Security Administration allegedly accessed and shared Social Security numbers to aid an advocacy group in “overturning election results.” According to court documents, the employees may have violated a federal judge’s order blocking DOGE’s access to sensitive SSA data, instead sharing information with unapproved third-party servers. The SSA has referred the employees for potential Hatch Act violations. These revelations follow previous whistleblower allegations that DOGE uploaded hundreds of millions of Social Security records to a vulnerable cloud server.
