Driven by his own need to manage stress, former Rakuten Symphony head of R&D, Antonio Forenza, created Awear. Recognizing a gap in the consumer health market, Awear uses EEG technology to detect brainwave activity indicative of stress. The device, worn behind the ear, transmits data to an app, offering mood insights and AI-powered stress management coaching. Forenza aims to help users proactively manage stress before it becomes chronic. Awear is a Startup Battlefield 200 finalist and pre-seed funded, with Stanford University testing its capabilities. Awear is currently available through an early-access program for $195 and plans a Kickstarter campaign after seed funding.
