DJ Steve Aoki and DraftKings co-founder Matthew Kalish have been named in a class-action lawsuit alleging they promoted Metazoo NFTs on social media without disclosing they were being paid. The suit, led by plaintiff Evan Berger, claims these undisclosed promotions influenced investors to purchase tokens that are now worthless, resulting in losses estimated in the tens of millions. Metazoo, a former collectible card company, saw its NFTs decline sharply in value. Berger stated that influencers must follow disclosure rules to protect consumers. Aoki, an equity partner in Metazoo, has not commented on the lawsuit.
