Country music star Reba McEntire is reflecting on the March 1991 plane crash that killed eight of her band and crew members. In a recent interview with Garden & Gun, McEntire revealed how fellow artists Vince Gill and Dolly Parton helped her return to performing. Gill offered to be by her side on stage, while Parton lent her own band.
McEntire, who marked the 33rd anniversary of the tragedy in March 2024, admitted it was difficult to get back onstage. The crash occurred after a concert in San Diego; McEntire, her stylist, and her husband took a separate flight. She dedicated her album For My Broken Heart to the victims, which went on to become her best-selling record.
