A long-duration winter storm is hitting New Hampshire, with impacts lasting through Monday evening. Over a foot of snow had already accumulated in southern parts of the state by Sunday night. The storm is expected to bring 12 to 18 inches of snow to central and southern regions, with some areas seeing up to 24 inches. Northern New Hampshire is anticipating 8 to 12 inches.
Snowfall rates could exceed two inches per hour through early Monday morning. A winter storm warning is in effect statewide. Light snow showers may continue through Monday evening before the storm clears. Following the event, cold temperatures will persist, with highs only in the 20s on Tuesday and a gusty wind chill making it feel even colder.
