Milwaukee Fire Department responded around 6:30 p.m., prompting a fifth alarm and a call for outside assistance due to the building’s size and fire intensity. Officials switched from an interior to a defensive strategy as crews battled the flames. No injuries were reported, and the fire was under control by 11:30 p.m. The cause remains under investigation.
