According to multiple sources, Metallica is set for a residency at the Las Vegas Sphere this fall and winter. The band has reportedly signed for 12 to 16 shows between October and December, though Sphere officials have not formally confirmed the run. CEO James Dolan recently teased the news, refusing to “dissuade” the rumor. The residency would coincide with the 40th anniversary of Master of Puppets and follow the band’s M72 world tour. Metallica would be the first heavy metal band to perform at the venue, bringing what sources describe as a "different feel" to the Sphere’s immersive experience.
