Alex Honnold, 40, dropped out of college to pursue climbing full-time. He became a legend in 2017 by free soloing El Capitan in Yosemite, a feat captured in the Oscar-winning documentary “Free Solo.” This made him an international celebrity. Apart from setting numerous climbing records and authoring a memoir, Honnold founded the Honnold Foundation, an environmental non-profit. Now a father of two and a podcaster, he remains a leading figure in the climbing world.
