Google’s enhanced Veo 3.1 AI video generation is now integrated into the Gemini, YouTube Shorts, and YouTube Create apps. The update improves “Ingredients to Video,” allowing users to seamlessly blend textures and objects into 8-second clips ideal for Shorts.
Veo now supports 1080p and new 4K outputs, though these are upscaled from the native 720p resolution. While upscaling is limited to Google’s developer platforms (Flow and API), the Gemini app remains at 720p. This rollout marks a significant step toward photorealistic AI video.
