A recall of Gregory’s Foods “Bag Full of Cookies” has been upgraded to a Class I risk—the FDA’s highest level—due to undeclared peanuts. The error involved packages of White Chocolate Macadamia Nut cookie dough being mistakenly filled with Monster Cookie Dough, which contains peanuts. This poses a serious, potentially life-threatening risk to consumers with peanut allergies. The recall affects over 300 cases sold in Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, and Wisconsin. Consumers are urged to return the products for a refund. The FDA noted the issue was isolated to a single day’s production and has since been corrected.
