What Is EFT Tapping? Tapping Into Emotional Release

Tapping EFT

Tapping is one of the most common ways to experience energy healing.  Tapping is the common name for this therapy, but the actual name is the Emotional Freedom Technique or EFT.

If you’re interested in clearing out negative emotions this approach is worth consideration.

What is Tapping?

Tapping is an energy healing technique that was developed in the 1990s to help people tap into energy healing without having to have something more invasive like acupuncture.

Rather than using needles to help unblock energy pathways and release emotions, tapping uses gentle tapping form your own fingertips to activate those energy pathways

You can do this at any time instead of waiting to get an appointment with a practitioner.

How Does Tapping Work?

EFT Tapping focuses on specific points of the body.  These are located at the top of the head, around the brow bones, under the eye, under the nose, under the lips, near the collar bone, and on the side of the body.  There is also a point on the side of the hand below the pinky finger.

Tapping these points is combined with positive affirmations.  These affirmations are tailored to any issue that you might have.

They can address physical, emotional, or performance issues.

You’ll start the process by focusing on an issue and determining how intense it is before you begin.  Then you’ll develop a phrase that acknowledges the problem but also addresses that you accept yourself.

For example:

“Even though I have pain in my knees, I deeply and completely accept myself.”

The phrase can be adapted to fit whatever situation you have.

Then you’ll say this phrase and begin tapping at each point saying reminders such as “pain in my knees” each time you tap.  Finally, you’ll test the issue again and see if it feels as intense as before.

What are the Benefits of Tapping?

Tapping is a simple, noninvasive way to restore energy balance and bring more positive energy into your life while addressing negative energy.  You can learn it quite easily from a number of online resources.

This is a tool that you can use for any type of issue whether it’s physical, related to trauma, caused by stress, or another type of emotional issue.

Tapping can help regulate hormones and reduce the cortisol hormone that is overproduced from chronic stress.

You don’t have to spend any money to learn tapping and you don’t need to make an appointment to experience it.

This is a skill you can take with you anywhere and perform at any time to release emotions and find more peace.
