Country music icon Dolly Parton turns 80 on January 19, but she has no plans to slow down. Despite a recent kidney stone-related infection that caused her to postpone Las Vegas concerts, Parton insists she feels healthy and isn’t retiring.
Reflecting on her nearly seven-decade career—which includes over 950 recorded tracks, iconic films like Steel Magnolias, and philanthropy via her Imagination Library—Parton noted the sacrifices made to achieve her dreams. However, she claims she "ain’t got time to get old."
Her schedule is packed moving forward. She recently released a charity single featuring Lainey Wilson and Miley Cyrus, and has upcoming projects including a Broadway musical, a new Nashville hotel and museum, and a national tour of her multimedia symphony experience. Parton remains driven, stating, "I feel like I’m just getting started."
