Michael Irvin is stepping into a new chapter off the field. The Dallas Cowboys legend announced the launch of a new career venture on December 24, 2025, marking his move deeper into the media and content space after years in broadcasting and football analysis.
Following the announcement, Deion Sanders publicly congratulated Irvin with a message that reflected both pride and long-standing friendship. Sanders wrote, “I’m so proud of you, my brother! We still have to get together and do content like we planned well over a decade & a half ago when that dude pulled that ……..on us! That was hilarious, man. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂.”
Irvin’s new venture is the launch of Playmaker Production Group, a production company aimed at developing original content and storytelling projects. According to reports, the company will focus on authentic stories that inspire, entertain, and reflect real experiences, with Irvin taking an active role in shaping the creative direction.
While launching, Irvin said in a video, “With my own production group, we get to dive a little deeper.” The former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver also added. “We are looking forward to bringing you those great, authentic stories. Stories that will raise you up, stories that will make you think. Some that may even drop a tear.”

After a decorated NFL career and a successful transition into sports media, Irvin’s move signals a shift toward ownership and brand building. Rather than relying solely on traditional networks, the Cowboys icon is positioning himself as a creator and producer with full control over his content.
Sanders’ reaction added extra attention to the announcement. While no collaboration has been confirmed, the public exchange made it clear that both legends still see creative opportunities ahead.
