Dame Prue Leith is leaving The Great British Bake Off after nearly a decade as a judge. The 86-year-old culinary expert replaced Dame Mary Berry in 2017 following the show’s move to Channel 4. Announcing her departure on Instagram, Leith stated that "now feels like the right time to step back" to pursue other interests, including spending more time in her garden. She will continue to serve as a judge for the current season. Channel 4 has not yet announced her replacement, though Lady Caroline Waldegrave already took her place on the celebrity spin-off last year.
