Following the firing of head coach Jonathan Gannon, the Arizona Cardinals are conducting a thorough search for their next leader. The team has requested or begun interviewing several high-profile candidates.
Top candidates include:
- Robert Saleh: Scheduled for a second interview. The former Jets head coach is currently the 49ers’ defensive coordinator.
- Raheem Morris: Recently fired by the Falcons after going 8-9, the former Atlanta head coach has interviewed with Arizona.
- Arthur Smith: The Cardinals requested an interview with the former Falcons head coach, currently the Steelers’ offensive coordinator.
- Vance Joseph: The current Broncos defensive coordinator and former Cardinals DC is also in the mix.
Other candidates reportedly connected to the opening include Mike LaFleur, Jesse Minter, Matt Burke, and Chris Shula. As GM Monti Ossenfort seeks the team’s fifth coach since 2017, the search is active and ongoing.
