Tiffany Haddish is nobodyâs fool.
The actress, 46, always knew that both the viewers and her former co-stars wanted a sequel to the 2017 comedy âGirls Trip.â
Starring alongside Regina Hall, Queen Latifah and Jada Pinkett Smith, the movie follows four best friends as they rekindle their wild side.

Now, nine years later, a âGirls Trip 2â is in the works.
âWeâve been having a group chat for years. Weâve been trying to get the movie made for years. Weâre on top of it,â Haddish exclusively told The Post at Steven Tylerâs 7th annual Jam for Janie on Sunday. âWeâve always been a cohesive unit. Itâs the studio dragging their feet.â

As for who the comic would want to see join the powerhouse women in a second film, she noted: âMeryl Streep.â
âI want to work with her,â Haddish said. âI just put it in the universe.â
âAnd Viola Davis, I think sheâs gonna be in this one, too,â the âLike a Bossâ star gushed. âI just put it out there. I just saw her the other day, and I was like, dang, I want to work with her. I mean, we talk on the phone and laugh and stuff, but I would love to work with her.â
Haddish knows that Davis, 60, would thrive in the comedic space.

âShe got jokes. Her timing is impeccable. Sheâs so strategic about it,â the comedian said. âSheâs always trying to show how smart she is but you have to be very intelligent in order to be funny. And she is one of those people. She just donât show yâall because yâall not ready. Iâm going to inspire her to show you guys because she funny!â
The pair did work together on the 2019 ABC special âLive in Front of a Studio Audience: âAll in the Familyâ and âGood Times.’â
While Haddish has Davis on speed dial, sheâs also looking to work with Leonardo DiCaprio in a romantic comedy.

âHe needs a rom-com,â she mused. âI havenât seen him in a rom-com so we would do a rom-com. Most unlikely pair. Fish out of water.â
âI see Leo often but weâre just friends,â Haddish teased. âBut in my mind other things happen. He knows that about me. I know a lot about Leo. Iâve seen Leo around town for years and years.â
Specifically, the âBad Tripâ actress joked she is âthinking about me and him buck naked in a room making music. You talk about collaborations and my brain goes there. Thatâs whatâs going to happen!â
In 2024, Haddish revealed she propositioned DiCaprio, 51, when they first met.

âI told him, âI want to fâk, but only if you are your character out of âWhatâs Eating Gilbert Grape,ââ she said on SiriusXMâs âThe Howard Stern Show.â
In the 1993 film, the Oscar winner portrayed the role of Arnie Grape, a young boy with special needs.
Haddish confessed that she is âstill working onâ convincing DiCaprio to sleep with her.
âI think I might be too old,â she quipped. âI donât think Iâm his type.â

DiCaprio has been dating Italian model Vittoria Ceretti, 27, since 2023.
But in the meantime, Haddish is booked and busy as âGirls Trip 2â shoots later this year.
âI donât know exactly where weâre going, but I know itâs somewhere exotic and somewhere we donât normally go, but we should go as much as possible,â she told People in November.
âThatâs what I do know,â Haddish stated. âWeâre supposed to start shooting this summer.â

In 2023, Hall, 55, reacted to the news that one scene in the project is set at Ghanaâs annual Afrochella music festival.
âSo Iâm assuming that thatâs going to be fun. Iâm excited to see the girls again and to make something hopefully that the fans love,â she told Variety. âI think the biggest thing is we had so much fun making the first one. And I just look forward to just having that kind of fun again and that audiences will hopefully love it as well.â
