A new survey from Bango reports that 72% of ChatGPT subscribers have set the AI as their browser homepage, marking a significant challenge to Google’s dominance in search. While Google has recently gained ground with its Gemini AI and an Apple partnership, OpenAI is convincing users to shift their digital starting point to ChatGPT without the massive payments Google makes to secure default search status.
The survey also indicates a strong “all-in-one” trend among subscribers: 75% prefer to perform all daily digital tasks within ChatGPT, reducing their reliance on standalone apps for shopping, maps, and music.
