UFC bantamweight Cameron Smotherman collapsed on the scale after making weight for UFC 324 in Las Vegas, forcing the cancellation of his fight against Ricky Turcios. Smotherman was carried off but later posted that he is “completely OK” and unsure of the cause, claiming he did not undergo a significant weight cut. He plans to undergo further tests. On the same card, Deiveson Figueiredo and Alex Perez both missed weight by 2.5 pounds; they were fined 25% of their purses, but their fights will proceed as scheduled.
