Chelsea has been fined £150,000 by the Football Association (FA) following an incident at the end of their Premier League match against Aston Villa in December. The charge relates to an unidentified member of Chelsea’s staff throwing a bottle towards the Aston Villa substitutes’ bench.
The incident occurred at the conclusion of the match at Stamford Bridge, which Villa won 2-1. The FA has imposed the penalty as a punishment for the misconduct. Additionally, Chelsea’s vice-coach, Wilfredo ‘Willy’ Caballero, received a warning regarding his future conduct after he was deemed to have acted in an improper manner by kicking the ball into the crowd shortly after the full-time whistle.
