Former Michigan football coach Sherrone Moore returned to court Thursday, facing three charges—including felony home invasion and stalking—after allegedly committing vengeful acts against a woman following his termination. Moore, who was fired for an inappropriate relationship with the staff member, pleaded not guilty and is free on bond with a tracking device.
Authorities state that on Dec. 10, Moore entered the woman’s apartment, blamed her for his job loss, and threatened suicide in front of her. His attorney filed a motion to quash the arrest warrant; a hearing is set for Feb. 17, with a probable cause hearing scheduled for March 19. Moore previously coached the Wolverines for two seasons as Jim Harbaugh’s successor.
