Third-seeded Mirra Andreeva, 18, defeated 19-year-old Victoria Mboko 6-3, 6-1 in the Adelaide International final on Saturday. After dropping the first three games, Andreeva won nine straight games and 12 of the last 13 to claim her fourth WTA title. Mboko, who required a medical timeout during the second set, will rise to a career-high ranking of No. 16. Both teenagers now head to the Australian Open, with Andreeva facing Donna Vekic and Mboko making her debut against Emerson Jones. In the men’s final, Tomas Machac beat Ugo Humbert.
