The search is part of an investigation into “illegally leaked information” from a Pentagon contractor. Investigators informed Natanson that she is not the focus of the probe, but rather a witness. The Washington Post also received a subpoena for information related to the contractor. Natanson is known for using encrypted Signal chats and maintains a contact list of over 1,100 current and former government employees.
