In the series His & Hers, the murders of Anna’s high school friends were committed by her mother, Alice, not by TV anchor Lexy Jones. Alice’s motive was revenge: decades earlier, Anna was sexually assaulted by Rachel, Helen, Zoe, and Lexy, and the girls watched it happen. By framing Lexy, Alice sought justice for her daughter and reunited Anna with her husband, Jack. Following the truth, Lexy is killed by police, while Alice encourages Anna to maintain her secret life with Jack, where they have adopted a child but remain unaware of the full truth.
