Dr. Mya-Rose Craig, founder of Black2Nature, is celebrating the organization’s 10th anniversary by advocating for greater inclusivity and access to nature for all, particularly underrepresented groups. Over the past decade, Black2Nature has worked to connect young people of color with the natural world through nature camps, conservation experiences, and advocacy. Dr. Craig emphasizes the urgent need to address systemic barriers preventing diverse communities from enjoying and benefiting from nature, arguing that access to green spaces is a fundamental right and crucial for wellbeing. Her call to action urges widespread societal change to ensure equitable access to nature across the UK.
